It took me a few years to admit that I don’t like Summer. I can live with it - I have to - but it is not a season that naturally agrees with me. It also took me a while to admit that I don’t like hot yoga (sorry, my fellow yoga teachers) or saunas. Why would someone voluntarily enter a 40+ degrees room? Or worse, pay for it?
This is a candid post. I’m opening up and exposing myself in ways I have never done before. Up until four years ago I was coping with crippling anxiety and constant panic attacks. No one but my sweet husband and very close family and friends knew about this. How could this be? A Hatha Yoga teacher suffering from anxiety?
Whatever your meditation practice happens to be, there are a few simple steps to ensure you keep your practice going.
Establish a ritual
If you think of anyone who is trustworthy, you will notice that they are consistent. We are creatures of habit and much of our brain functions and mental patterns are based on repetition.
