Sep 27 - Sep 29
Friday Sep 27th, 5:00 to 7:00 pm - “Mobility and Stability.” Alignment, movement, and structure. An in depth exploration of classical yoga postures taught to beginners and intermediate practitioners. Understand how the body responds to mobility versus stability. Learn how to create a balanced practice and sequence.
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm - “Blueprint for Vitality: The Jewel of Yoga” - In depth discussion of the origins of yoga followed by a meditation + relaxation practice.
Saturday, Sep 28th, 8:30 - 9:30 am - “Learn to Meditate.” A Meditation practice and workshop focused on awareness, posture, and breath.
9:30 am - 10:30 am - “Pranic Vitality” - Breathwork Practice and class
10:30 am - 12:00 pm - “Stability in Asana” - Practice and study of Standing postures for stamina, strength, and flexibility.
2:00 - 4:00 pm - General Anatomy. In depth study of anatomy applied to movement - yoga, meditation, and other postural modalities.
4:00 - 5:30 pm - “Yogic Anatomy” - An exploration of the Yoga anatomy: chakras, vayus, energetic systems. Activation of the chakras through breath, sound, and Kundalini Yoga.
5:30 - 6:00 pm - Q&A (optional)
Sunday, Sep 29th, 8:30 - 10:30 am - “Dynamic Alignment” - Asana workshop. Understand the basic actions + in depth alignment of classic yoga standing postures.
10:30 am - 12:00 pm - “For Health, Radiance, and Vitality” - An exploration of the concepts of prana, energy, and the body systems in Yoga. Lecture + Breathwork + Relaxation.
2:00 to 4:00 pm - Anatomy of the Lower Limbs - Understand the actions, mechanics, and role of the lower limbs in motion + yoga practice.
4:00 to 5:30 pm - “Dynamic Alignment” - Linking in standing poses. Understand how one pose, movement, or action connects to the other. Practice classic standing poses in a safe way. Learn modifications for the most common injuries.
