As a small, independent studio, we strive to offer our clients and guests the best experience and deeper connection to their practice. And to support our environment and quality of all of our services and classes, we ask you to please acknowledge the following guidelines and policies.

Terms and Conditions

We do not offer refunds. This policy is applicable to all classes, sessions, trainings, workshops, and online offerings.

Please note the expiration date of your class package or membership. We do not offer extensions; no exceptions.

Cancellation Policy

Drop in and Class passes

We require a minimum of 24 hours cancellation notice. After 24 hours, class will be charged in full or credited from your package or membership plan. Please note that there are no exceptions.

Workshops and Private Sessions

We require a minimum of 24 hours cancellation notice. After 24 hours, workshop or session will be charged in full. Please note that there are no exceptions.

Month to Month Membership Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 3 monthly payments is required. Membership will be charged to stored credit card (in member’s name) on an automatic monthly basis, until a minimum of 72 hours advance notice of cancellation is provided. Monthly payments, once billed, are not eligible for refund. A cancellation fee of $20 (+ tax) will be required. If Month to Month Membership is purchased with a sale’s price, cancellation of membership will imply the loss of sale price (full feel will be charged if contract is reactivated).

Annual Membership Cancellation Policy

Clients can place a hold (single or multiple holds) on their annual membership up to 80 days total. Holds need to be formally requested via written letter or email (info@saltandspiritwellness.com). Please note that holds that have not been formally requested are not valid. There are no cancellations or refunds on Annual Memberships.

Purchases

- All prices are subject to GST.

- Prices may change without notice.

- All prices are in Canadian dollars.

- All purchases (classes, workshops, passes, memberships) are non-refundable.

- All passes are non-transferable.

- We do not offer refunds on classes, passes, sessions, and memberships.

- 4 class pass expires in 4 weeks.

- 6 class pass expires in 2 months.

- 10 class pass expires in 3 months.

- All services purchased from Salt & Spirit Wellness must be preceded by the applicant acknowledging, by way of completing a waiver form, that he/she has no physical limitations preventing him/her from participation.

- All applicants under the age of 18 years must have consent, in written form, from a parent or guardian.

- The applicant agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the studio. 

- Salt & Spirit Wellness also reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions and prices at our discretion. If we make any significant change to this policy, we will provide notice of the changes on this website.

Studio Guidelines

In order to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all guests, we ask you to please note the following guidelines:

  • We like it cozy, but not crowded. As the studio and classes grow, it is important to book your class ahead of time. In order to offer the best experience to clients, we only take up to 14 clients at Yoga Align and Pilates, and 22 clients at Kundalini and Meditation classes.

  • Do you have time? If you need to come in late to a class or session, don’t worry: you can still participate. Just make sure to come in quietly, so as to not disturb the experience of other students. On the other hand, as some classes are back-to-back, and as we don’t have a large reception area, we ask that you come to class no earlier than 10 minutes before the start of the class. This ensures your comfort, so you don’t have to wait outside for too long.

  • Do you like perfume? We love it too. However, for health and allergy reasons, we ask you to please refrain from wearing fragrance to class. Feel free to wear it after class though! (And did you know we make the most amazing natural essential oil scents? All available at our shop.)

  • Did you forget something? Please make sure to check you have all your belongings before leaving the studio. We are not responsible for items left at our studio. We have a limited storage space, and items left for longer than 10 weeks at the studio will be donated.

  • It is your space too. We all know that when we like something, we treat it well. Please make sure to maintain the cleanliness and order of our beautiful space, cleaning the mats after each use; folding the blankets nicely; and avoiding leaving trash at the studio. This will ensure that the space is always left clean for your next experience.

  • Awareness is key. Please keep your valuable items with you at all times. If you notice anything strange (persons, circumstances, etc), please inform your teacher or the front desk immediately.

  • Class etiquette. We love when students have questions and want to share victories and personal anecdotes. However, if your question is specific to you, your teacher may reserve the right not to answer it at a group class. Don’t worry! We are here to help. We can always dive deeper into your questions at a private session.

  • Safety first. If you have an injury, health problem, or reason to create difficulties in participating in a group class, we reserve the right to prevent your participation in group classes. In this case, you will receive a credit for private classes, or refund for any remaining balance. Please note that teachers reserve the right to make this determination, both for the safety of the individual client, as well as the safety and experience of the group as whole.

  • Help us help you. We want to be around for a long time. And we most definitely want to support you. But we do ask that you follow our guidelines and policies, and please don’t ask for exceptions. Exceptions hurt us as a business. These guidelines exist so that we can exist.

What is Kundalini?

  1. Kundalini is your true, authentic potential. Through the practice of Kundalini Yoga, this potential is awakened and redirected to a more expanded, uplifted, and authentic experience of reality.

  2. What should I expect during a class?

    On a deeper level, Kundalini creates the most immense results in all areas of life. It is a powerful and useful practice for the modern world; it supports you in every facet of your life, creating energy, strength, developing flexibility, purpose, and magnetism.

    On a practical level, expect some breathwork (pranayama), an energizing set of movement/ postures (kriya), and meditation, which can include chanting, visualization, breathing, or quiet meditation. Each class is unique and the kriyas and meditations change. Each class is designed to integrate and expand mind, body, and spirit.

3. Does the teacher offer hands on correction in class?

There are no hands on adjustments in Kundalini Yoga. The focus is not on “perfecting a pose”, but creating energy while getting into a deeper, more personal and authentic meditation state. If you’re struggling in a pose due to a personal condition or injury, the teacher might offer you a modification.
